Scott Varney Music | the Loop, Sep. 2024

So, What’s …the loop?

I Hope this message find you doing well!! As a looping musician, I take lots of parts and pieces and layer them together to create a mosaic of sound live in front of an audience. This has inspired this new monthly newsletter I’ll be sharing called …the loop!

I want this to be a place where you can not only find where I’ll be performing as well as any updates on upcoming releases but also a space where I can share other fun content, like videos, playlists to music or podcasts I’m currently listening too, and even stuff not related to music but still inspirational to me, like recipes or even poetry or even ways to help others in this global community we are each a part of. Like my Live show, I’m hoping to loop all the parts and pieces that are inspiring me from month to month and share them with you in this newsletter. I’m hoping this is something you will look forward to hitting your inbox and I’d love to hear your thoughts on what I’m sharing and hopefully this can eventually turn into a community space. My ultimate goal with this is to keep you in …the loop!

What Am I Listening To?

I’m inspired by all kinds of music, spanning multiple genres depending what type of mood or vibe I’m looking for. To hear some standout tracks I heard from this past month, click your favorite streaming service below.

Spotify | Apple Music | Amazon

I love hearing the inside scoop on what created a certain song or hearing others thoughts and ideas on an assortment of topics such as music, creativity, meditation, wellness & much more.

“Living life as an artist is a practice. You are either engaging in the practice or you’re not. It makes no sense to say you’re not good at it. It’s like saying, “I’m not good at being a monk.” You are either living as a monk or you’re not. We tend to think of the artist’s work as the output. The real work of the artist is a way of being in the world.”

Let’s Get Active!!

Hurricane Helene has wreaked havoc on a large stretch of the southeastern US!  The Smoky Mountains of NC and TN hold a special place in my heart, This is a place we have been visiting for the last 16 years and it always feels like home ; the stunning landscape, the people, the music, all the awesome food, arts and culture you can find in places like Asheville, Bryson city, Waynesville and all the surrounding areas. They need help and they need it badly right now as many communities have been literally washed away from the storm. If you can help, below are just a few links where you can lend some support through money, donations etc. Sending so much love to WNC and all the surrounding areas 🙏.
